Facilities Available:

          • One AC Operation Theatre with an attached preparation room.

          • One Non-AC Operation Theatre.

          • Regular Hematological and biochemical profile study of equine blood from a Private Pathological laboratory for diagnostic test.

          • Annual testing for EIA and Glanders (by CFT) tests done at NRCE, HISSAR and Diagnosis Research Laboratory, PUNE.

          • Physiotherapy facilities (U/S, SWD and Stimulation) are available by qualified physiotherapist on regular basis.

          • 24 hours veterinary emergency services provided by veterinary doctors for attending the emergencies in race horses.

          • Urine samples are collected from race horses after the racing and on random basis for screening the doping on regular basis.

          • Feed supplements and medicines supplied from the veterinary hospital on regular basis as per requisition

          • Minor and major surgeries are performed by our veterinary doctors with the help of eminent surgeons Dr.H. Mirza (Consultant Vet of RCTC) and Dr.B.Sridhar (on private call).

          • Club’s consultant veterinarian Dr. H. Mirza visits the equine hospital thrice a month for diagnosis and treatment of critical problems.

          • Analysis of feed and feed ingredients is done at Nutrition Lab, WBUAFS, Kolkata.

          • All sorts of major and minor treatments of equines along with the guidance to the Trainers are done by the Senior Veterinary Officer on regular basis along with the help of the Assistant Veterinary Officers.

          • Statistical/clinical data about various treatments are maintained on regular basis.

          • Facilities of vaccination of horses against EIV/EHV 1 are available annually.

          • Three horse floats for transportation of horses to and from different places.

          • Micros chipping of horses are performed for better identification.

          • Billings of various treatments carried out to horses are maintained on online system.

          • Almost 130-140 horses are treated daily out of approximately 550 horses stabled at RCTC in the racing seasons.
