Cancellation of Race Day

NOTICE

CALCUTTA RACES, SUMMER MEETING

EIGHTH DAY, TUESDAY, 9^th APRIL, 2024

It is hereby notified that owing to paucity of acceptors, the following races scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 9^th April, 2024 have been declared void :-

1. THE SUZANNA HANDICAP
2. THE COLONIAL HANDICAP

Consequent to the above, the Stewards, Royal Calcutta Turf Club, in exercise of their powers under the RCTC Rules of Racing, have decided to cancel the Eighth Day of the Calcutta Races, Summer Meeting, Calcutta Cold Weather Season 2023-2024 scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 9^th April, 2024 and the following races scheduled to be held on 9^th April, 2024 have been postponed to Wednesday, 10^th April, 2024 :-

1. THE ACCOMPLISH CUP
2. THE TREASURE LAND HANDICAP
3. THE AMALITA HANDICAP
4. THE HAUNTING MEMORIES HANDICAP

NOTICE

Owing to inclement weather rendering the underfoot condition of the race track unconducive for racing, the Stewards, Royal Calcutta Turf Club in exercise of their powers under the RCTC Rules of Racing, have decided to postpone the Third Day of the Calcutta Summer Meeting from Wednesday, 20^th March, 2024 to Saturday, 23^rd March, 2024.

The same Card published for Wednesday, 20^th March, 2024 will hold good.

NOTICE

The Stewards, Royal Calcutta Turf Club, in exercise of their powers under the RCTC Rules of Racing,  have decided to cancel the Eighth Day of the Calcutta Races, Summer Meeting, Calcutta Cold Weather Season 2022-2023 scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 11^th April, 2023 due to paucity of acceptors.

However, THE COLONIAL HANDICAP, THE AMALITA HANDICAP, THE TREASURE LAND HANDICAP and THE AMBERDUE PLATE scheduled to be held on 11^th April, 2023 have been postponed to Wednesday, 12^th April, 2023.

NOTICE

The Stewards, Royal Calcutta Turf Club, in exercise of their powers under the RCTC Rules of Racing, have decided to cancel the Sixth Day of the Calcutta Races, Summer Meeting, Calcutta Cold Weather Season 2022-2023 scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 4^th April, 2023 due to paucity of acceptors.

However, THE DARE TO DREAM HANDICAP, THE ADIELLA HANDICAP and THE SUNRISE SONG HANDICAP scheduled to be held on 4^th April, 2023 have been postponed to Wednesday, 5^th April, 2023.

NOTICE

 

The Stewards, Royal Calcutta Turf Club, in exercise of their powers under the RCTC Rules of Racing, have decided to cancel the Third Day of the Calcutta Races, Winter Meeting, Calcutta Cold Weather Season 2022-2023 scheduled to be held on Thursday, 12^th January, 2023 due to paucity of acceptors.

 

However, THE CALCUTTA CHAMPIONS’ SPRINT TROPHY (GRADE III) and THE ALOKANANDA STAKES scheduled to be held on 12^th January, 2023 have been postponed to Wednesday, 18^th January, 2023 with fresh forfeits.

Due to the continuing adverse weather conditions prevailing at Kolkata, the Stewards of the Royal Calcutta Turf Club, in exercise of their powers under the RCTC Rules of Racing, have decided to cancel the Extra Race Day of the Calcutta Summer Meeting scheduled to be held on 11^th March, 2017.

Due to the inclement weather rendering the underfoot condition of the race track unfit for racing, The Stewards of the Royal Calcutta Turf Club, in exercise of their powers under the RCTC Rules of Racing, have decided to cancel the Calcutta Races scheduled to be held today, i.e.,  8^th March, 2017.

The following two races i.e., The Midnight Cowboy Cup and The Grand Annual Handicap, scheduled to be run today i.e., 8^th March, 2017 have been postponed to a date which will be announced later.

The Stewards, Royal Calcutta Turf Club, in exercise of their powers under the RCTC Rules of Racing have decided to cancel the First Day of the Calcutta Races Spring Meeting scheduled to be held on Thursday, 2^nd February, 2017.

The Acorn Stakes race scheduled to be held on 2^nd February, 2017 has been postponed to a date to be announced later.

Due to the heavy showers of rain on 5^th September, 2016  inundating the race track between 1400 metres and 1200 metres thereby rendering the track unfit for racing, Calcutta races scheduled to be held on Wednesday, 7^th September, 2016 have been cancelled.
