The horses can be inspected daily from 4.30 P.M. to 5.30 P.M. at the RCTC Riding School (children can be brought during this period).

Please note that these horses can only be trained by ‘A’ licensed Trainers.  Further, it is also notified that participation in this auction sale is by “invitation” only and Trainers will need to get prior permission for the Owners that they wish to purchase the above horses for.  Permission letter may reach the undersigned latest by Tuesday, 4^th February, 2025.  Only owners approved under the RCTC Rules of Racing can purchase the above horses.

HAZARA STUD AUCTION SALE OF 2-YEARS-OLDS : 2015

 

In an effort to augment the number of two-year-old horses, to make racing more exciting and to provide owners at Kolkata an opportunity to own probable Champions, the HAZARA STUD is pleased to announce an Auction Sale of its 2-Years-Olds at Kolkata on Saturday, 12^th September 2015.  The general information along with the terms and conditions of the Auction Sale are outlined for your perusal.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

The conditions of the sale are highlighted below:-

 

1. The sale will be held on Saturday, 12^th September 2015 at the Calcutta Race Course, Kolkata.
2. Only Owners approved under the Rules of the Royal Calcutta Turf Club are eligible to bid in this auction.  The highest bidder will have to pay 20% of the purchase price at the time of the sale to the representatives of the Hazara Stud and the balance will be required to be paid within 48 hrs.  In this connection, it should be noted that the person/s who sign the Sale Form will be held responsible for payment to the Hazara Stud.
3. The highest bidder, if any, to be the purchaser and if any disputes arise between two or more bidders, the Lots disputed shall be immediately put up for auction and resold.  The Hazara Stud reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
4. Lots will be paraded at the RCTC at parade ring from Tuesday, 1^st September 2015 from 4.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. daily (except Kolkata Race days on which they will be rolled after the conclusion of the Kolkata races) till a day before the Auction. The lots may be inspected during these hours. Further, the lots may also be inspected with prior permission from the Hazara Stud representatives.
5. The Purchaser shall give his/ her correct name and address (if required) in default of which the lot so purchased may be immediately put up again and resold, if the Hazara Stud shall think fit.
6. All lots to be settled for in full within 48 hours of the sale before delivery is effected. In case a lot is not paid for by the highest bidder, declared to be the Purchaser thereof, within 48 hours from the time of the highest bid wresting with him/ her at the auction, it shall be open to the Hazara Stud to put up the lot for resale by Public Auction or private treaty and the deficiency on such resale will have to be made good immediately by the defaulter at the first sale.
7. If any person shall purchase a lot and not pay for it within the time limit, nothing contained in this condition shall prevent the Hazara Stud from compelling the purchaser to pay for it by such auction as they think fit.
8. Custody and possession of any lot sold shall remain with the Hazara Stud to deliver that lot to the purchaser or his agent. 
9.  If the purchaser shall fail to comply with these conditions or any of them, any money which he shall have paid to the Hazara Stud on account of his purchase shall be absolutely forfeited to the Hazara Stud and the Hazara Stud shall be at liberty to resell the lot/lots in any manner.
10. The Hazara Stud reserves to itself the right, for any reason which it may consider sufficient, to prevent any lot from being put up for sale even after it has been included in the printed Catalogue for this Auction Sale.
11. The decision of the Hazara Stud on all matters pertaining to the Sales shall be final and binding on all concerned.
12. Two year olds sold at this auction must race at Kolkata under the rules of the RCTC till the conclusion of the racing season 2016-2017.
13. All legal disputes between the purchaser and Hazara Stud in connection with the above Auction Sales of 2-year-olds will be subject to the Jurisdiction of Kolkata Courts.
14. If an Owner wishes to race a 2/3 year old horse at any other centre during the above period, permission in writing shall have to be obtained from RCTC.
